Terms of Service

The terms that apply when you use the mum collective website, join the waitlist and, once launched, use the mum collective platform.

Version 1.0 Last updated · [Insert date] Canada
MUM COLLECTIVE LTD.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Mum Collective Ltd. ("mum collective," "we," "us" or "our"). They apply to your use of mumcollective.ca, our waitlist and forms, and any app or service we make available.

Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or our services.

01 · Agreement

Agreement to these Terms

By accessing the website, joining the waitlist, creating an account or using any mum collective service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Community Guidelines.

Drivers are also subject to our Driver Terms and, before accepting rides, a full Driver Agreement. If a document specific to your role conflicts with these Terms, the more specific document applies to that role.

02 · Our Services

What mum collective offers

mum collective is being developed as a women-focused transportation platform that connects riders with independent drivers, with an emphasis on safety, accountability, flexible earning opportunities and financial education.

mum collective is a technology platform. Unless a written agreement says otherwise, drivers are independent contractors and are not employees or agents of mum collective.

03 · Eligibility

Eligibility and accounts

To use the platform once it launches, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement.
  • Provide accurate, current and complete information.
  • Keep your login details confidential and not share your account.
  • Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

You are responsible for activity on your account. Additional eligibility requirements apply to drivers and are set out in the Driver Terms.

04 · Pre-Launch

Pre-launch and the waitlist

mum collective has not yet launched. Joining the waitlist lets you register your interest and, if you choose, receive updates. It does not guarantee access to the platform, a launch date, availability in your community or approval as a driver.

Our launch will expand as local licensing, insurance, regulatory and operational requirements are established in each market. Nothing on our website means that mum collective has received any licence, insurance approval, regulatory approval or authorization to operate in any location unless we announce it.

Joining the waitlist is separate from consenting to marketing messages. Marketing consent is optional and is never required to join the waitlist or contact us.

05 · Riders

Using the platform as a rider

When the platform launches, riders agree to:

  • Provide accurate pickup, destination and contact details.
  • Confirm the driver, vehicle and licence plate match the app before getting in.
  • Treat drivers and other passengers with respect.
  • Follow safety, seating and child-restraint rules that apply to the trip.
  • Not damage the vehicle or leave it in a condition requiring unusual cleaning.
  • Pay applicable fares, fees and any charges shown in the app.
06 · Drivers

Using the platform as a driver

Drivers must meet the eligibility, screening, vehicle, insurance and conduct requirements in the Driver Terms and the Driver Agreement. Approval is not guaranteed, and mum collective may decline or remove a driver who does not meet our standards.

07 · Fares and Payments

Fares, fees and payments

Fares, service fees, taxes, tips, cancellation charges and payment methods will be shown in the app before a ride is confirmed, where required. Payments are processed through third-party payment providers.

Any pricing or earnings examples shared before launch are illustrative only and are not a promise of price or income.

08 · Earn-to-Own

Earn-to-Own program

Earn-to-Own is a program in development, designed to help eligible drivers work toward vehicle ownership while earning income and building financial knowledge. It will be governed by separate program terms.

Eligibility, program terms and vehicle availability apply. Nothing on this website guarantees vehicle ownership, earnings, financing or vehicle availability.

09 · Acceptable Use

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the website or platform for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful.
  • Harass, threaten, discriminate against or endanger any person.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, eligibility or affiliation.
  • Interfere with, probe or attempt to break the security of our systems.
  • Use bots, scrapers or automated tools to collect data without our permission.
  • Submit false waitlist entries or another person's information without their consent.
  • Copy, resell or exploit the website or platform except as we allow.

12 · Third Parties

Third-party services and links

The website and platform may link to or rely on third-party services such as payment, mapping, identity and communications providers. Their own terms and privacy practices apply, and we are not responsible for their content or conduct.

13 · Privacy

Privacy

We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. Please do not submit sensitive information, such as a driver's licence number, SIN, banking details or precise location, through the public waitlist or contact forms.

14 · Suspension

Suspension and termination

We may suspend, restrict or end access to the website, waitlist or platform if you break these Terms, our Community Guidelines or the law, create risk for others, or if we are required to by a legal or regulatory obligation. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and give you a chance to respond.

You may stop using our services at any time. Provisions that by their nature should continue, such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limits of liability, will continue after termination.

15 · Disclaimers

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The website and pre-launch services are provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or available in every location.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, mum collective is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of the website or pre-launch programs, including changes to launch timing, markets or program availability. Nothing in these Terms limits any right or liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including consumer protection law.

16 · Changes

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as we prepare for and after launch. The "Last updated" date shows when they last changed. Where a change is material, we will give reasonable notice. Continuing to use our services after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

17 · Governing Law

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Subject to any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law, the courts of Alberta have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms.
