Built for women, from the ground up.
Safety isn't meant to be a feature we add later. It is meant to shape how drivers are onboarded, how rides are matched, how the app handles a late-night drop-off and how concerns are handled when something doesn't feel right. Every decision starts with one question: would this make a woman feel safer?
What we're building to keep every ride safer
These are safety-focused features and systems being developed and implemented ahead of launch.
Driver Screening
Drivers are planned to complete background and driving record checks before they can accept rides.
Identity Verification
Identity verification for drivers and riders is being built so you know who you're riding with.
Live Ride Tracking
Follow your trip in real time and share it with a trusted contact.
Secure Communication
In-app chat and calls designed to keep personal phone numbers private.
Community Reporting
A way to report any concern, big or small, with reports reviewed by our team.
Emergency Support
Access to emergency help from within the app during a ride.
Features, availability and timing will be confirmed at launch and may vary by market as local licensing, insurance, regulatory and operational requirements are established.
Safety at every step
Check before you get in
Check that the driver's name, photo, vehicle and licence plate match the app before you get in. If anything doesn't match, don't get in. Cancel and report it.
Stay connected
Share your trip with someone you trust. Sit in the back seat. If something feels off, ask to be dropped off somewhere public, or use emergency support in the app.
Share your feedback
Rate your trip and leave feedback. If anything made you uncomfortable, report it, even if nothing "happened." Your report helps keep the whole community safer.
Our drivers deserve to feel safe too.
Safety goes both ways. mum collective is being designed so riders verify their identity, trips are tracked and drivers can reach support at any time. Drivers can decline or end a ride if they feel unsafe, and riders who break our community guidelines can be removed from the platform.
A community built on respect
Everyone who uses mum collective agrees to treat others with respect. That means no harassment, discrimination, threats, unwanted contact or inappropriate behaviour of any kind. Drivers and riders who break these guidelines may be suspended or permanently removed.
If you are in immediate danger, call 911. mum collective's in-app emergency tools are designed to support you, but they do not replace emergency services.
Safety FAQ
How will mum collective drivers be screened?
Our planned screening includes identity verification, a criminal background check, a driving record review, and vehicle and licensing checks before a driver can accept rides. Final requirements will be confirmed before launch.
Can I share my trip with family or friends?
Live ride tracking is being designed so you can share your trip and a trusted contact can follow along in real time.
Will my driver see my phone number?
In-app calls and messages are designed to keep personal phone numbers private.
What happens when I report a concern?
Reports are meant to be reviewed by our team. Depending on what happened, actions can include follow-up with the people involved, a temporary suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
Are safety features available now?
Not yet. mum collective has not launched, and its safety features and systems are being developed and implemented. Our launch will expand as local licensing, insurance, regulatory and operational requirements are established in each market. Join the waitlist to be notified.
